Turkish stock exchange up at Tuesday’s open
BIST 100 index gains around 40.2 points
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 10,928.23 points, increasing by 0.37% or 40.21 points from the previous close.
On Monday, the BIST 100 fell 0.32% to close at 10,888.02 points, with a daily transaction volume of 135.6 billion Turkish liras ($3.21 billion).
As of 10.00 am local time (0700GMT), exchange rates stood at 42.4590 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.9855 to the euro, and 55.7020 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,145, while Brent crude oil was trading at $62.30 per barrel.
